GETTING STARTED · 4 min read

A clearer story starts with a few good records.

A practical checklist for organizing dates, receipts, and the details that matter.

General educational draft. Attorney review and final firm attribution are pending.

Start with a short timeline. Record what you expected, what happened, and when you first noticed the problem. Approximate dates are useful when you do not know the exact date.

Keep original receipts, statements, messages, advertisements, and notices in a place you control. Make a separate working copy if you want to highlight a charge or add notes. Avoid changing the original.

Write down the company and product name, the amount involved if known, and any steps you have already taken. Include cancellation confirmations, refund requests, and responses.

You do not need a perfectly prepared file to report an experience. Say what you know, mark what you are unsure about, and indicate which records you have. An attorney can request relevant documents later.
